Health Care Philosophy
I believe the physician and the patient must work closely together to make the best health decisions for the patient. I enjoy teaching patients about their health and helping them with their health care choices. I am excited about the new opportunities provided by the Internet and web-based systems to improve access to health care for patients.
Biography
Prior to medicine, I had a career as a professional communicator, including editing and reporting for newspapers and television, video production and media design. My hobbies and interests include hiking, canoeing, playing the harp, and attending cultural events such as theater and the symphony–and always reading and gardening. I live with my husband, Dave, our two daughters, Natalia and Ulana, and our two cats, Jinx and Jasmine. We spend a lot of time driving to soccer, tae kwon do lessons (Ulana), the stable and fairgrounds for horse showmanship events (Natalia).

Education and Certification
Dr. Hoffman studied medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical College and performed her residency at West Jersey Hospital System. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and American Board of Holistic Medicine. She also has a Masters in Communication, with coursework in Adolescent Medicine, and affiliations with the American Medical Association and Washington State Medical Association.
